6 O’Clock Damson Gin is a definite must-try for all who love a Sloe Gin. Redder than Dorothy’s slippers and flush with fleshy fruit flavours, this is a velvety smooth and supple liqueur, with the lemony core of the underlying gin shining through.

Think Sloe Gin, but a bit more plummy. Syrupy and date like, 6 O’Clock Damson Gin has a real hit of Middle Eastern sweets, so we’d serve it neat alongside a sticky date pudding. Long drink fans should try splashing a drop into some warm apple juice.

"Bramley & Gage are the grandmasters when it comes to traditional fruit infusions. And this is a masterclass in balancing the full depth of the fruit, the underlying gin and an exacting dose of sweetness. Very difficult to stop at just one sip…"

About this product

The flagship 6 O’Clock Gin is made super smooth, in a custom still that allows for optimum copper contact. Once the gin is ready to go, it’s added to a great vat of fresh plucked damsons and left to rest for a minimum of six months.

Bramley & Gage, the distillery behind 6 O’Clock Gin, is a family affair, headed up by Edward Kain and his offspring. The distillery got its start in the mid ‘80s, when the farming family found that liqueurs were a great use of surplus fruit.

6 O’Clock Gin has its roots firmly in Bristol and is a real point of pride in the area. Those curious for a nose around should book onto a tour, which offers the full range of gins, as well as a rainbow of liqueurs to try.

"Probably one of the best Sloe Gin's in the UK. While they now do much more the entire distillery was founded on making fruit infusions, with the underlying gin's profile made to measure for use in liqueurs. No surprise then that it's a triumph."
