About this product

A limited edition and numbered release from this underrated distillery, this 23yo was aged in European sherry oak casks and bottled at cask strength.

Originally founded 1798 by John Stewart and Robert Robertson the distillery has been through several long periods of closure. It last re-opened in 1949 having been rebuilt by Arthur Bell & Sons, and remains under the ownership of Diageo.

The Blair Athol distillery sits just outsde Pitlochry, Perthshire, and draws water from the Allt Dour ("the burn of the otter") which flows from the slopes of Ben Vrackie through the grounds of the distillery.
