No Alcohol, No Compromise

Looking for great alternatives for the days you want something, but without the booze? Thankfully opting out of alcohol no longer has to mean compromising on quality or craft. We've rounded up a few of our favourites

Gin Makers Warner’s have expanded their botanical expertise to include 0% ABV offerings. Their Juniper Double Dry is herbal, aromatic & zesty – ideally suited for those looking for something akin to a London Dry. Their second offering, Warner's Pink Berry, is a tasty non-alcoholic alternative to a fruity or pink gin: fragrant and tangy, combining raspberries and blackcurrant sage with chilli. With a cheeky little discount going on each, now is the perfect time to try something different… WARNER’S ZERO

Caleño is a range of distilled non-alcoholic spirits inspired by the sun-drenched spirit of Colombia. Their Dark & Spicy is a warming infusion of dark tropical pineapple notes, ginger and kola nut spices, perfect for those nights where you just want to dance around join in the Kitchen Disco. Their Light & Zesty is a tropical and refreshing blend of Inca berry, citrus and spice botanicals, made for sunny daytime socials – even if they have to be on Zoom!  CALEÑO RANGE

Hayman’s Small Gin

Small when it comes to both stature and ABV but epic in flavour, when we tasted  Hayman’s Small Gin at their distillery, we could barely tell the difference between this and their original London Dry Gin. The endearing little 5ml thimble for serving means you never pour too much, enabling you to reduce the alcohol content of a gin and tonic by 80%. A brilliant choice for gin lovers who still crave those crisp botanical notes without the ABV.

Aecorn Aromatic

Influenced by 17th century English herbal remedies and inspired by the European aperitif tradition, Aecorn offer delicious non-alcoholic creations. Created using grape juices from Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Meunier, alongside botanical distillates and extracts, Aecorn has that certain je ne sais quoi that makes you feel as though you are “having a drink without drinking”; the key that the low and no producers of old always seemed to miss. Crisp and refreshing with notes of black tea, quassia and oak, Aecorn Aromatic has a complex flavour profile that is perfect in a spritz.

Copenghagen Sparkling Tea

For the pink fanatics… just because you’re foregoing the booze there’s no need to miss out on that oh-so-pretty crimson hue. Rose-tinted glasses you say? Not when it comes to  Copenhagen Organic Sparkling Tea. Developed by award-winning sommelier Jacob Kocemba during his time at a Michelin restaurant in Copenhagen, Denmark, you can tell this is a drink that has been created with food pairing in mind. Perfect sipped cold from a Champagne glass alongside a selection of canapes.

Everleaf was founded by Paul Mathew, a conservation biologist and bartender with a long family connection to botany and the environment. This connection between nature being brought to the bar clear in Everleaf’s three offerings. The Marine and Forest good alternatives for Gin lovers, while their Mountain has been crafted for Spritz drinkers. Expect layers of citrus and spice to combine and create a bold, exotic & vibrant aperitif. EVERLEAF RANGE

Another popular offering is Pentire, a botanical non-alcoholic spirit made from unique plants native to the North Cornwall coastline. Expect a grown-up, savoury affair with fragrant herbaceousness and salty notes that balance perfectly with tonic water. To taste it’s crisp, herbaceous and fresh overall. Notes of citrus, coupled with sage, rock samphire and sea salt lead a round herbal finish. Serve as a 50ml measure over ice with a light tonic and garnish with citrus peel for a refreshing treat!
