City of London Six Bells Lemon Gin

70cl | 41.3% ABV | England

It’s not often you can say a gin has been inspired by a nursery rhyme, but ‘oranges and lemons, say the bells of St. Clements’ was certainly the tune behind this perfectly balanced lemon gin, which is bright, fresh summertime fodder!

Think lemon merengue pie with a thick dusting of fizzy sherbet and you’re half way there. This is an unusual proposition that we think makes for an exquisitely refreshing G&T when garnished with a sprig of rosemary.

About this product

With an underlying gin made to a London Dry method and a lemon post infusion to get that waxy, oily citrus flavour, City of London Six Bells Gin is a complicated character with several layers to unpick.

City of London Distillery was founded by Jonathan Clark back in 2012 and has since become part of the Halewood group, becoming a sister brand to the likes of Whitley Neill and Liverpool Gin.

City of London Distillery, based in Fleet Street, is something along the lines of a Mecca for Gin fans, located as it is in the heart of Gin’s history. With an amazing range, gorgeous bar and fascinating tour, it’s a real bucket list visit.
