Cointreau Blood Orange is an intriguing variation of their classic recipe using Corsican blood orange to bring a fruity and refreshing note to Cointreau’s distinctive signature profile.

Zesty, caramelised orange marmalade on the nose, more to taste with a lingering blood orange finish. A great variation on their original, or a good alternative to those who enjoy Solerno.

About this product

Made in a similar way to their original, except here, the peels of blood orange are infused and then distilled alongside Cointreau’s signature sweet and bitter orange peels.

Cointreau first began when in 1849 Adolphe Cointreau, an Angers confectioner at the time, decided to diversify the family business to include liqueurs. The iconic recipe for Cointreau triple sec was created in 1885 by Adolphe's brother, Édouard.

The French town of Angers has been Cointreau’s home since the beginning. Today, every bottle is still distilled at the Carré Cointreau in Angers, France, the brand’s only distillery.
