Darnley's Spiced Gin

70cl | 42.7% ABV | Scotland

in stock

Darnley’s Spiced Gin is one for traditionalists, with a distinctive pine hit throughout. The clue is in the title though, when it comes to the rest of the botanicals in this beautiful Scottish gin, with cinnamon and nutmeg lighting up on the finish.

Winter time hits of clove studded oranges abound, but the growing spiced intensity at hand quickly douse any nostalgia. This is a piquant, spiced gin best used for stirring into the boldest, most beautiful Negroni on the block.

Key Flavours

Spiced
Juniper
"Darnley's have nailed it here as it delivers exactly what it sets out to do - droves of juniper matched by a medley of spice. One to remember as when you want a gin with a clear spicy profile, this is easily one of the top offerings in the world."

About this product

Darnley’s Spiced Gin is made on a 350-litre copper pot still, lovingly named Dorothy. Botanicals in the gin include cloves, cumin, coriander, ginger, cassia and grains of paradise.

Darnley’s Gin is made at the Wemyss Distillery, founded by William Wemyss and his family. Despite having a fair few people in the team, the distillery is still at its heart a family affair, with its people at its heart.

Wemyss Distillery is based in Fife, Scotland, and while the Whisky side of the business may be quite large in size, the gin distillery itself is base in a cute and compact little cottage on site.
