It’s no secret that the Italians know how to make real espresso. Made using two varieties of coffee beans Galliano Ristretto is not just a coffee liqueur, it’s a meeting of flavours that was just waiting to happen…

About this product

Beans are macerated in gently heated alcohol overnight, before being pressed. The left-over beans are then re-macerated for a second time before a second pressing. The two liquids are blended with water and sugar.

Noticing a gap in the market for honouring fallen heroes (in this case Giuseppe Galliano “Maggiore Galliano”), Arturo Vaccari set about making a new liqueur at his own distillery, in 1896. A legend was reborn. Today it is part of Lucas Bols LTD.

The pressing and initial blending take place at Maraschi & Quirici in Chieri, Italy with the final blending and bottling taking place at Bols facility in Zoetermeer, Holland.
