Released in 2012, Glengoyne 18 Year Old Highland Single Malt is complex due to ageing for a lengthy amount of time in a bountiful proportion of first-fill sherry casks.
Aged for 18 years, this sherried Highland whisky is matured in refill sherry and first-fill sherry casks. This generous time imparts delicious fruity flavours to this wonderful fresh, malty and spicy expression.
Glengoyne 18 Year Old Highland Single Malt delivers a luxurious mouthfeel with notes of spicy vanilla and ripe apples.
Taking its name from "Glen Guin" or Glen of the Wild Geese, the Glengoyne distillery was founded by George Campbell in 1833, it has been producing single malt whisky continuously ever since.
The distillery is located directly on the Highlands line, which divides the Highlands and Lowlands. Whilst the whisky is distilled in the Highlands, it’s matured in the Lowlands region – despite the sites being across the street from one another.
Glengoyne 12 Year Old Highland Single Malt has the ideal balance of oak and sweetness, notably for a highland whisky this expression is unpeated.
