Hidden Curiosities Gin is a Japan-inspired spirit created by a pocket square designer with a passion for juniper. Aranami is the Japanese word for raging waves, which should give you some indication as to the storm in a glass this gin is.

There’s no denying this gin’s power. Hidden Curiosities Aranami is bold, sappy and utterly unforgettable, packed with citrus and extremely rich – a bold Martini or a perfect Negroni, so you are spoiled for choice!

"Japanese yuzu and the tingling spice of sansho pepper bookend the profile, but the herbal note of shiso emerges more once diluted with tonic. Elegant florals, exotic spices, balanced journey - a significant step up in quality from their flagship."

About this product

Hidden Curiosities Gin is made at Silent Pool Distillery in Surrey. To make the gin, the team macerate the botanicals in a wheat spirit for 24 hours, before distilling to a London Dry standard over a six hour period.

Hidden Curiosities Gin was created by Jenny Meguro, a life-long gin fan whose obsession with craft products, but desire to be challenged, led to her flitting between brands at breakneck pace. In the end, she decided to create her new favourite.

Made under contract at Silent Pool Distillery, based in the Surrey Hills, the production is overseen by Jenny herself each and every time. A means to an end for a Japanophile and a spirit that's entirely devoted to Eastern flavours.
