Hoxton Gin is a vibrant, waxy summertime spirit just bursting with citrus and tropical flavours. It’s juniper shy, so makes a good starter gin for those looking to dip their toes into the water.
Initially made by Thames, Hoxton Gin is now made under contract at a distillery in France. Coconut, grapefruit, juniper, tarragon, ginger and iris are soaked in a neutral spirit for a full five days ahead of distillation.
Hoxton Gin was created by industry veteran Gerry Calabrese of the Hoxton Pony bar, who sought to create a product that reflected the creativity and vibrancy of East London.
As with many gins made for bars, the personality of the location is what the gin and the contract distillery look to capture. Here it was the fun and inclusive nature of the Hoxton Pony that was the aim of the brief.
