A wonderfully smoky island Single Malt Scotch whisky which balances sweet and floral aromas with the richness and warmth of sea salt and smoke.

The nose is filled with rich, sherried smokiness, seaweed and light creosote peat. To taste, it is powerful and rich, with herbal smoky flavours, peppery orange peel and a touch of sea salt. The finish has pungent smoke notes.

About this product

The distillery produces a non-peated Tobermory and a heavily-peated Ledaig. The two malts are produced using the same stills, wash backs, mash tuns and the same process water but are totally different in character due to the malted barley used.

Established in 1798, Tobermory is The Isle of Mull’s only whisky distillery and one of the oldest commercial distilleries in Scotland. Today it is part of the Distell Group.

The distillery’s past is as colourful as the town’s seafront. A chequered story marked by closures and financial troubles has, on more than one occasion, threatened its very existence. Thankfully their resilience has shone through!
