Lochlea 'Our Barley' Whisky is a blend of whiskies matured in first-fill Bourbon barrels, Oloroso Sherry casks and STR (shaved, toasted, re-charred) barriques. Non chill-filtered with no added colouring.
Lochlea is owned by Neil McGeoch and is an independent family-owned distillery ever since the first spirit was distilled in 2018. Whisky production is overseen by Production Director John Campbell (formerly of Laphroaig Distillery).
Nestled in the heart of Ayrshire, Lochlea was originally a cattle farm. Extending some 222 acres, the new owners acquired it in 2006 and realised that for a farm of that size to be viable they needed to do something very different.
