Lustau Vermut Rojo

Lustau Vermut Rojo

75cl | 15% ABV | Spain

A perfect blend of two wines each aged individually in the traditional, authentic Jerez “Solera y Criaderas” System: An Amontillado (dry and nutty) and a Pedro Ximénez (sweet, intense and velvety). A very delicious vermouth!

Sweet aromas of ripe fruit mingle with hints of citrus and herbaceous notes, over a smoked wood base. To taste, it's velvety with a bitter finish that has a distinctive nutty aftertaste.

"I adore the lovely rich sherry notes in this Vermut, bring me a platter of chorizo and Manchago cheese to accompany it. Why not try adding a splash to a bloody Mary, delicious!"

About this product

The main botanicals used are sage, coriander seed, orange peel, with two bittering agents - wormwood and gentian.

Lustau was founded in 1896, when José Ruiz-Berdejo, a secretary to the Court of Justice, started cultivating the vines of the family’s state in his spare time. In 1990 Lustau’s merged with Luis Caballero, a major Spanish family owned drinks company.

Lustau is the only winery that produces wines in each of the three cities in the Sherry triangle: Jerez de la Frontera, El Puerto de Santa María and Sanlúcar de Barrameda.
