Dark red with a glint of caramel. There are aromas of vanilla, rhubarb and juniper. To taste, oaked wine and myrrh lead, before a clove and cinnamon finish. Remarkably balanced, with a bittersweet medicinal feel.
Production takes place in a family run distillery in Piedmont. The botanicals are ground in a traditional mill that has been in use since the 1930’s, then steeped in spirit before being added to the Trebbiano di Romagna wine base.
Founded by Giancarlo Mancino, bartender and entrepreneur hailing from Pingala, Italy. Having travelled the globe for his bar and beverage consultancy firm, he wanted to create a traditional range of vermouths connected to his homeland.
While the founder may be found globetrotting, the vermouths are anchored in the Piedmont region, with both product and inspiration all coming from the region, including the three Italian wormwood used (Pontica, Gentile and Romana).
