The blend of Speyside whiskies (once thought to be Balvenie, Glenfiddich and Kininvie) are matured in first-fill ex-Bourbon casks, the batches are then married together for no longer than six months before being drawn from the cask.
Launched in 2005 within the William Grant portfolio, Monkey Shoulder has established itself as a fun and disruptive whisky which is made for mixing. With a playful attitude it appeals to bartenders, as well as a new generation of whisky drinkers.
