China's superstar craft gin maker is here! Eleven botanicals include citrussy Buddha’s hand, herbal mint, spiced Sichuan pepper and floral lotus alongside juniper. As delicious a gin as it is cool as a brand.
A quick flurry of citrus sparks ahead of fresh floral scents (lotus flower). The juniper core is clear but soon moves over as Sichuan pepper takes over the finish. Add a wedge of grapefruit in a G&T.
Peddlers is double distilled in a 500-litre copper still using corn based spirit. Some ingredients are put in the still to macerate for 24 hours, then distilled. The hearts cut is then distilled a second time with Sichuan pepper and East Asian mint.
Shanghai based gin brand is the distillation of the minds of Joseph Judd, Ryan McLeod and Fergus Woodward. The trio were inspired by the craft spirits movement worldwide and wanted to celebrate their adopted country with a local take on the spirit.
The name Peddlers was inspired by Shanghai’s traditional street culture that still exists today. The Gin is distilled in Tangzhen (a suburb of Shanghai), with a new location in Penglai also being used.

Rested and refined for three months in French oak barrels that previously housed a Napa Valley pinot noir. With notes of smooth caramel, smoked Sichuan pepper, Pinot Noir grapes and fresh stone fruit.
