About this product

Winter wheat from the Russian steppes is milled, fermented and distilled four times through large column stills. The spirit is then blended with water from Lake Ladoga before being filtered four times through charcoal.

The brand was founded by Roustam Tariko in 1998, taking "inspiration" from the work of Russia’s most famous scientist, Dmitri Mendeleev (mostly myth). Headquartered in Moscow, It has over 25,000 employees and operations in over 70 countries.

Russian Standard is a huge part of the country's spirits production and a widely recognised name. Its state-of-the art distillery is based in Saint Petersburg, near Lake Ladoga from which it draws its water.
