Saffron Gin

Saffron Gin

70cl | 40% ABV | France

With a deceivingly orange hue, it's easy to look past this gin but don't think that Saffron Gin is a merely a gimmick - it comes from a very respectable distillery and has a depth of flavour that makes it an intriguing sipper to say the least.

On the nose, juniper and coriander, not saffron, are the first botanicals to stand out leaving the spice in question to emerge later. Serve with an orange wedge in a G&T.

"A little trivia for you all… The recipe for infusing the base gin (also sold as Rare Gin) with saffron goes back decades and was revived after being re-discovered by chance in the Maison Boudier archives."
