St. George Dry Rye Gin

70cl | 45% ABV | U.S.A.

Using a base of 100% pot-distilled rye, this a gin for whiskey lovers. With a malty structure, peppery spice, and an impossibly rich mouthfeel, Dry Rye Gin is a half way house between gin and genever.

Warm and spicy, Dry Rye Gin has a natural affinity with bitters, citrus, stone fruit, and ginger. Try it in a Negroni, a Martinez, a Gin Buck—or any classic cocktail that calls for rye whiskey.

Key Flavours

"Malty notes from the rye base are clear but it's worth noting that there's also 50% more juniper than in either of their other two gins, which comes in handy in cocktails like a Martinez or Negroni."

About this product

They use six botanicals (Juniper berries, complemented by black peppercorn, caraway, coriander, grapefruit peel and lime peel), and add them to an unaged rye as the base spirit.

St. George Spirits was founded in 1982 by Jörg Rupf, who travelled to the USA as Germany's youngest judge on assignment from the Ministry of Culture. It's now headed up by Lance Winters, one the rare few who treat distilling as an art form.

Based in a former Naval Air Station in Alameda, California St George is a 65,000-square-foot hangar with a spectacular tasting room, laboratory, and a lineup of some the most beautiful copper stills in the industry.

"Possibly one of the greatest gins of all times. A truly modern, unusual take on the category and showcases, unequiviqually, that making great gin isn't just about balancing evocative flavours, it's an artform in its own right."
