About this product
Candied orange peel and sweet vanilla are clear on the nose, backed by subtle ginger biscuits. The malt is light to taste, with hints of cinnamon and caramelised barley.
The Glenturret Triple Wood is aged in a combination of American and European oak sherry casks, as well as ex-bourbon casks.
Originally owned by Sir Patrick Murray of Ochtertyre, The Glenturret Distillery has a long history and is even mentioned in the purchase records of the Barony of Ochtertyre as far back as 1763.
The distillery is still on the edge of the historic town of Crieff. Known locally as ‘The Hosh’ (Gaelic for ‘the foot’) – it is a picturesque and secluded setting at the foot of green rolling hills in the lower glen overlooking the river Turret.
