About this product

Old Vines are gently crushed without destemming, then foot trodden in traditional stone mill. Subsequently wine spirits are added, stopping the fermentation. It's then aged in Portuguese oak barrels, where it remained for about 2 years.

Quinta do Crasto can trace its roots back to the 17th Century. It was purchased by Constantino de Almeida, in 1910. ln 1981 Almeida’s granddaughter Leonor took over the Quinta, determined to restore and revitalize the family estate.

Quinta do Crasto not only has some of the most breath taking views in the beautiful Douro Valley, but it has mastered the art of making red Douro table wine a thing of beauty - Quinta do Crasto is one of the finest estates for red wine in Portugal.
