Bombay took its time to release its take on flavoured gin, but boy was it worth the wait. Bombay Bramble, inspired by the classic Bramble cocktail, is a super vibrant gin, bursting with naturally derived blackberry and raspberry flavours.
This is a super smooth spirit, fresher than a spring morning and packed with tart berry flavours. It’s obviously destined for a Bramble, but it feels suited to a pitcher, lemonade and heaps of fresh, summer fruit.
"Bombay Bramble is different to many Flavoured Gins in that it does not have all the added sugar. The dry blackberry and current finish makes for a more versatile spirit, but those looking for the super sweet may be wise to peruse for other names."
Bombay Bramble’s freshness comes from its contemporary distillery set up, which sees all of the ingredients placed in a vapour chamber at the top of the still. Once distilled, fruits are added and left to infuse until its ripe for harvest.
Bombay Sapphire (and its various siblings) are made at the brand's architecturally stunning distillery, Laverstoke Mill in Hampshire. Headed up by superstar master distiller Dr Anne Brock, theirs is a team with unparalleled experience and talent.
Laverstoke Mill is one of the best distilleries you could hope to visit, with state of the art equipment, an amazing gin distilling experience and the most jaw-dropping architecture on display. Go for the gin, stay for the botanical greenhouse…
Brockmans Gin is an intensely fruity affair, packed with more berries than the average cobbler. Slippery smooth and entirely moreish, this is one that fans of a fruity gin (but not necessarily a...
"Blackberries and blueberries are all up in your grill with this one - fans of fruit forward gins love it for that and when it comes to cocktails, it certainly turbo charges a Bramble."
The daddy of pink gin (possibly even the original Pink Gin, and quite unintentional at that too), Pinkster is a raspberry infused slice of madness with huge herbal undertones.
"The hue leads the senses but the berries are actually quite subtle on the nose, while juniper stands its ground with a hint of pepper. To taste, Pinkster Gin has a dry gin profile, with juniper and coriander underlying a jammy raspberry note."
Gordons Gin needs very little introduction – it’s a mainstay of the British (hell, global) Gin scene; an enduring, everlasting staple. The Pink edition, based on an iteration first tried in the...
"One of the fastest selling, most successful new products in the gin category for over a decade tells you everything you need to know about how popular this is. Add some fresh fruits to garnish in a G&T."
Beefeater Pink holds universal appeal – not only is there a juniper anchor holding the gin in place, there’s a huge, candied sweetness, with boiled sweet strawberry flavours melting all over the...
"Beefeater Pink's forte is that it has enough of the underlying gin's characteristics to allow it to be a strawberry flavoured gin that can be served with mixers. That backbone really helps come G&T time as it gives the flavours far more depth."
