First launched in 1988 to celebrate Brugal’s centenary, Brugal 1888 Rum is an exceptional double-aged Dominican sipping rum that can also be used in classic cocktails.
Brugal 1888 Rum is designed to be sipped neat. Expect dried fruit, coffee and chocolate top notes. Sweet vanilla is more prominent to taste, so too the oak and cinnamon spice.
Brugal 1888 Rum is first aged in ex-bourbon barrels with a small proportion also aged in first-fill sherry butts. A blend is then married for a further period in American oak barrels. On average, the total aging period is between 14 and 16 years.
