Bulleit Bourbon has a subtle and complex mix of maple, oak and nutmeg provides a smooth mid-palate with a light toffee finish.
Bulleit Bourbon’s complexity comes from its unique blend of rye, corn and barley malt, along with special strains of yeast and pure Kentucky limestone filtered water. Its high rye content augments its spicy character and provides a smooth finish.
Thomas E. Bulleit, Jr, inspired by his great-great-grandfather Augustus Bulleit, who made a high-rye whiskey in the 1800’s, fulfilled his dream of reviving an old family bourbon recipe by starting the Bulleit Distilling Company in 1987.
For many years Bulleit Bourbon was originally made in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. From 2017 production was moved to an impressive 300 acre facility, located just east of Shelbyville in Shelby County, Kentucky.
Bulleit Rye is made from 95% rye and 5% malted barley, the incredibly high proportion of rye (amongst the highest in the category) ensures that this spirit packs a flavourful spicy punch.
Aged in charred American white oak, Bulleit 10 Year Old Bourbon is an expression which provides a rich, deep and consistently smooth taste with vanilla, dried fruit and a long, smoky finish.
