Launched as part of the Last Great Malts Collection in 2014, Craigellachie 13 Year Old Single Malt showcases the distillery’s distinct robust, muscular character.

Craigellachie is made from malted barley and pure spring water. The malt is triple distilled through two spirit stills and uses worm tub condensers to impart strong flavour complexity onto the whisky, this isn’t common for distilleries to do.

About this product

Craigellachie 13 Year Old is a fruity expression with pineapple and apple aromas with a light smoked finish.

In 1890, Alexander Edward formed a consortium with Peter Mackie (an experienced whisky figure) in order to purchase land from Edward’s father, so he could build the Craigellachie distillery.

The Craigellachie distillery is named after a town which is located in Speyside, overlooking the Spey and Fiddich rivers. The distillery is located on a cliff, which is apt as Craigellachie literally means "rocky hill".
