Foursquare distillery has a three-column vacuum still it uses for lighter rums and a pot still for heavier rums. Rums are distilled from fermented molasses in small batches and tropically aged. This rum is a blend of 3yr olds, that's then filtered.
Richard Seale was born to make rum. He is the great grandson of the original R.L. Seale, Reginald Leon Seale who founded the company in 1926, making him the fourth generation to work in the family rum business.
Originally registered in 1908, Doorly's is synonymous with Barbadian rum history. R. L. Seale acquired Doorly’s in 1993 and decided to focus the efforts on building it as an export brand. It is produced at the Foursquare Distillery.
