Grand Marnier is an exceptional blend of fine cognac and exotic bitter orange liqueur. This is their signature expression, first created in 1880 by Louis-Alexandre Marnier Lapostolle and since, become an icon of France's spirits heritage.

Brilliant amber tones liven up the glass, giving off an aroma of vanilla cognac nuances with hints of candied zest. To taste bitter orange, balanced by cognac notes of hazelnuts and toffee with a long, harmonious finish.

About this product

The liqueur is made from a blend of Cognac, distilled essence of bitter orange (the aromatic Citrus Bigaradia remains the only variety of orange used to make Grand Marnier as per tradition), and sugar.

In 1827, Jean Baptiste Lapostolle, a distiller of fine fruit liqueurs, built what would become Grand Marnier’s first distillery in Neauphle-le-Château, a small city outside of Paris. Today it is owned by Gruppo Campari.

Grand Marnier's home is nestled at the border of the Petite and Grande Champagne regions of Cognac. Originally built as a castle in the 13th century, the Château de Bourg-Charente is one of the most picturesque distilleries in the world.
