Hendrick's Gin

70cl | 41.4% ABV | Scotland

in stock

Distilled by gin wizard Leslie Gracie up in Scotland, Hendrick’s was perhaps the first beautifully different weirdo on the Gin scene, and almost certainly one of the major names responsible for thrusting Gin back into the spotlight.

A spirit inspired by a cucumber sandwich was always going to lead with the vegetable, but rose is also a loud presence in Hendrick’s Gin. While we prefer it with an orange peel, it would just feel wrong not to serve this with a cucumber garnish.

Key Flavours

Crisp & Clean
"One of the big reasons Hendrick's became so big is that it's an accessible, easy sipping floral gin with (aside from the cucumber and rose) a soft chamomile and sweet citrus hit. If you are just getting into gin, it's a great place to start."

About this product

Hendrick’s uses two still types – Pot stills which produce heavy, oily flavours and Carter Head stills, which produce lighter spirits through vapour infusion. The two spirits are blended after distillation with further essences added thereafter.

Hendrick’s Gin was created by William Grant and Sons in 1999. The brand saw a gap in the market and knew that the two people best placed to fill it were their Malt Master David Stewart and Distiller Leslie Gracie.

William Grant is a hugely famous name in distilling, though it's certainly more known in the Whisky world. Still, they’ve aced the gin, with Hendrick’s and all its variations met with rapturous applause.
