Clean, elegant, floral nose. To taste hints of honey, tropical fruits (mango in particular), vanilla and coconut build towards an oily and citrus finish.
Kavalan follows Scottish production methods, but the key difference is the tropical climate they age in and their use of unusual yeast strains (which can operate in warmer temperatures and produce the signature fruity flavours).
Kavalan was founded by Mr. T.T. Lee’s. His ambition to create Taiwan’s first whisky took him across the old world to the sacred distilleries of Scotland and Japan where he drew his inspiration. The rest, as they say, is history…
