Made by Idustrias Licoreras de Guatemala, which was created at the beginning of the 20th century by Venancio, Andrés, Felipe, Jesús and Alejandro Botran, who emigrated from Spain to start a distillery business.
Ron Zacapa is produced in a small town in Guatemala named Zacapaneca. Based in the highlands of Quetzaltenango, their warehouses are 2,300+ metres above sea level which has a significant effect on the maturation process.
