Trois Rivieres Doublewood Rhum is made by first aging the spirit in American oak casks for seven months, followed by French oak barrels for a further nine months.
Amédée Aubéry, a powerful industrialist and landowner bought Trois Rivières in 1905. He stopped the sugar production to focus only rum. It was Aubéry’s son who expanded on this and developed their Rhum Agricole from 1940.
