Zesty lemon peels trill on the senses, while sweeter notes of sherbet lemon and delicate juniper blossom beneath. Peppery warmth grows helping anchor the citrus and gives it gravitas. The finish is all zest and aromatic lemongrass.
Amazzoni Maniuara is an impressive flavoured gin. The lively lemon aroma is locked in during double distillation, but the classic cold botanical infusion afterwards not only adds colour, more citrus and a luxurious mouthfeel.
Amazzoni was Co-founded by friends Alexandre Mazza (now their head distiller), Tato Giovannoni and Arturo Isola in 2016. The project grew out of a love of the spirit and a desire to create an authentically Brazilian interpretation of it.
Located in the Paraíba Valley, Rio de Janeiro State, Amazzoni distillery is set amid rivers and imperial palm trees in a reconverted a 300-year-old fazenda (estate) that once had a rich history as a coffee plantation and cachaça distillery.
Produced by the first dedicated gin distillery in Brazil, Amázzoni Gin combines a sense of the category's heritage (and juniper forward soul) with a unique Brazilian twist.
