Two types of heirloom barley are grown on the estate and once distilled (twice-distilled in a copper alembic stills), are aged exclusively in French Limousin Oak and Cognac casks for a minimum of six years.
Brenne has perfumed fruit and French patisserie aromas, with complex sugar notes of rich creme brûlée and burnt caramel. On the palate there are notes of banana, tropical fruits, and warm spices like cinnamon and clove.
Founded by former ballerina turned whisky entrepreneur, Allison Parc, Brenne was started with Allison's small life savings and a big dream to showcase terroir through whisky. She enlisted a third-generation distillery located in Cognac to do it.
