Grassy, floral and overall drier than many other Absinthes. Wormwood adds its woody, herbal bitterness, while hyssop, and lemon balm lift the flavours before a bitter herbal anise finish. Mix with water before drinking (and go easy, it's 68% ABV!).
It's made by macerating herbs such as Pontarlier wormwood in neutral spirit, distilling, then steeping additional herbs before being filtered and bottled. No artificial colours are used, the green tint is obtained through maceration with nettles.
Considered by many as the original absinthe makers - founder Henri-Louis Pernod helped create the first commercial absinthe distillery in 1798. Today the brand remains under the Pernod Ricard group.
