Regal Rogue Wild Rose is led by tropical fruit notes. It marries a pale and dry Barossa Cabernet Rosé from the Adelaide Hills with native Illawarra plums, rosella and strawberry gum.
Strawberry gum and rosela dominate the palate, with rhubarb, fig and redcurrant playing a supporting role. Full of exotic and complex fruit notes, subtle spice and a satisfying dry finish.
Regal Rogue follows a natural production process (wine fortified by grape spirit and infused with botanicals), with no wood interaction and finishes drier than most vermouths, with a lingering after-taste.
Seeking to challenge convention, Regal Rogue was founded by Mark Ward in 2011. The grapes are sourced from celebrated winemaker Justin Jarrett and his organic vineyard. In 2020, the brand became part of Irish drinks firm Intrepid Spirits.
The heart of Regal Rogue is in their Australian provenance; led by the marriage of 100% organic Australian wine in addition to herbs and spices sourced directly from Aboriginal farmers and indigenous communities in the country.
