Shortcross Gin

70cl | 46% ABV | Northern Ireland

in stock

One of the great modern gins, Shortcross combines a sense of classicism (piny juniper) with a local twist (verdant and fresh). The label foiling and subtle texture is intricately designed too, matching the astounding liquid inside the bottle.

Key botanicals include sweet floral elderflower, plump elderberries, wild clover and crisp apples all of which foraged from the surrounding gardens. We recommend with elderflower tonic water and an orange peel garnish.

"Here's some trivia for you; The name ‘Shortcross Gin’ originates from the Distillery’s local village, Crossgar. In Gaelic or Irish, Crossgar means the ‘Short Cross’. Here's a fact; The gin is fantastic, probably the best made in Ireland."

About this product

Shortcross is made on glorious 450L copper pot stills, with two seven plate side columns. Botanicals are steeped and distilled with the spirit passing through the columns. The result is an immensely smooth gin made to a London Dry standard.

Shortcross was founded by Fiona and David Boyd-Armstrong, a husband and wife team who set out to create a gin with a vision of re-defining what an Irish gin should and could be.

Founded in 2012, Rademon Estate Distillery is nestled within the heart of the historic 500-acre estate in Co. Down, just outside of Belfast. Sortcross was the first craft gin in this new era to be distilled in Northern Ireland.
