Teaninich 17 Year Old Single Malt was distilled in 1999 and aged in re-filled American oak hogsheads and ASBs. Since 2000, Teaninich utilises a hammer mill and mash filter, a rare sight in a Scottish malt distillery, to create an ultra clear wort.
Reflecting Teaninich's style of production before the company's expansion, this complex whisky is best sipped neat or with a splash of water. It also makes a wonderful pairing with Asian cuisine.
An early legal distillery, Teaninich was built in 1817 by Napoleonic war hero and estate owner ‘Blind’ Captain Hugh Munro. Since then, it has passed through the hands of different distillers and today it is owned by Diageo.
An almost unique distillery by its absence of a mash tun, Teaninich distillery is set in the beautiful Highlands of Scotland.
