The Balvenie French Oak is a vibrant single malt finished in casks that previously held Pineau des Charentes. Delicious and very limited in quantity!
Won a Silver medal at the International Wine & Spirits Competition 2022.
Vanilla, nutmeg and glazed fruits on the nose, while Balvenie's typical soft honey tones are also clear. Rich mouthfeel, with a caramel and nuanced sweetness that lingers on and on.
First matured for sixteen years in American Oak casks, infusing an abundance of sweet vanilla spice and warm honey notes into the liquid. It is then finished in French Pineau Fortified Wine Casks.

The iconic David C. Stewart MBE started his career at the distillery in 1962 as a whisky stocks clerk, he became Malt Master in 1974. He's renowned for his ground breaking work, notably around ‘cask finishes’ and multiple award winning whiskies.
The Balvenie distillery has been handcrafting whisky in Speyside since 1892. It’s the only distillery in Scotland that still grows its own barley, uses traditional floor maltings and keeps both a coppersmith plus team of coopers on site.
