WhistlePig 10yo Rye is lovely neat, but also works well in classic Whiskey cocktails as the high ABV stands up to mixing partners and dilution.
It’s the decade of maturation which balances out the flavours of the rye, giving it just a hint of sweetness. After ageing WhistlePig 10 Year Old Rye is brought to strength and bottled.
In 2007 Master Distiller, Dave Pickerell and the team sourced stock of 10-year-old blending whisky from Canada, it was this whisky that kick started their future creations. Master Distiller Dave sadly passed away of natural causes in 2018.
WhistlePig distillery is located in a 150-year-old renovated dairy barn based in Shoreham, Vermont, USA. On the farm’s 500 acre estate, there are pigs, sheep, goats, bees and horses, but also 20 acres of maple trees which the team tap for syrup.
