The aroma is smoky and charred, with a hit of banana, rum and raisins. To taste the Jamaican tropical funk is clear to taste alongside caramel. One for Tiki-style drinks that need a little oomph!
Worthy Park 109 is a blend of 100% Copper Pot Distilled aged and unaged marks the distillery. It's produced using estate grown sugar cane molasses, which were fermented for 3 weeks prior to distillation.
Worthy Park is one of the iconic rum names in Jamaica. There are records of rum being produced at Worthy Park as early as 1741. In more recent times - It was brought back to life in 2005 after shutting down in the 60's.
Established in 1670 and commercially cultivating sugar (unabated) since 1720 - Worthy Park is one of the oldest and most respected distillers in Jamaica. Much of its history is synonymous with the nation (and vis versa).
