The nose entices you with notes of clove, allspice, and honeyed dried fruit like prunes. It is fruity and spicy to taste leaning towards red fruits such as cherry, blackcurrant and sweet chilli.
Admiral Rodney HMS Officer's Release N°2 is made from several molasses-based rums that were distilled in 2009. It is matured in American white oak barrels, ex-bourbon barrels and Irish ex-whiskey barrels. Only 5,000 bottles were produced.
The range was inspired by the naval victory of Admiral George Rodney, who ensured British domination of the Caribbean after he defeated the French at Battle of the Saints in 1782. The rum is overseen by Head Blender, Deny Duplessis.
