British Rum Weekend

Over the past two months we’ve been building our British Rum collection. Spiced rum, botanically enhanced distilled rums, classic rums - there's now so many fantastic offerings being made in the UK and a huge diversity to pick from.
It's not just us who love it either! New insight into drinking patterns have emerged and following a year of lockdown, not only is Rum one of the fastest growing spirits categories in the UK, drinkers have shifted even more towards Spiced Rum than ever before (it now makes up over 60% of rum consumed).
Good thing then, that our local distilleries have been busy innovating and coming up with new and brilliant infusions for you all to enjoy! Devon, it seems, is now a hotspot for Rum makers with half a dozen new producers emerging there over the past year alone.
We’re celebrating the rise of British Rum makers this weekend but as we’re an inclusive bunch, we’ve also decided to have a flash sale discount on all Rum for the next 4 days.
We won't blame you if you want to jump straight into our Rum collection, but for those who want to know a little more about these British beauties we have in store, here's a few highlights...
Devon Rum Co. Premium Spiced Rum
Founded by Dave Seear out of the idea to create a new, fun, and environmentally friendly business based in Devon while using ethically sourced products - Devon Rum Co’s Spiced Rum is a unique blend of exotic pot and column distilled Caribbean rums infused with natural aromatic spices and citrus zest.
Expect aromas of charred orange peel and to taste, star anise, citrus and a smack of zesty peppercorn. We love it with a splash of ginger ale.
Hawksbill Caribbean Spiced Rum
Named after the famous turtles and charged with its own distinctive combination of spices, Hawksbill Caribbean Spiced Rum brings together the very best rums from Guyana and Trinidad to create a spectacular flavour journey!
Expect sweet vanilla to float across the palate before a wave of toasted nutmeg, cinnamon and raisin breaks, allowing a hint of cardamom and sea salt to nestle on the taste buds. It is delicious with cola or as the base of a Pina Colada.
Two Drifters Dark Rum
Fermented, distilled and bottled at their bespoke warehouse in Devon, Two Drifters Dark Rum is the ideal choice for those who enjoy a molasses-based pot still rum. Burnt sugar, treacle-like candied orange, brown hints of baked banana and full-bodied flavours characterise this brilliant British rum.
Fantastic for Tiki Cocktails like the Zombie or the Pina Colada and good value for such a handcrafted rum.
Hattiers Egremont Rum
Hattiers' Fine Rums are sourced from around the globe, blended and bottled in Devon. The Egremont Rum is our favourite of the range and is a blend of four rums consisting of an 8 Year Old from Barbados, a 5 Year Old from The Dominican Republic, a 3 Year Old from Panama and another 3 Year Old Guatemalan rum.
Caramel, toffee, cacao, soft fruit on the nose. More structured to taste, with cinnamon, nutmeg and gentle black pepper spice, rich toffee cacao and attractive apricot fruit. Fruity and luxuriously cream notes continue in a long finish - it is a Rum that's lovely to enjoy neat.
Market Row Botanical Rum
Meet Market Row, a Botanical Rum with a Caribbean soul and a London spirit. Each batch is crafted in the heart of Brixton and infused with flavours of the market. Naturally dry and light overall, with less sugar than most rums, Market Row combines warming tropical tones with a caramelised banana note, soft sweetness and a dry, vanilla finish.
