A richly flavoured, hugely complex yet affordable Japanese whisky. While it dims the nose a little, we find it benefits from a little water to allow the flavours to open up. An impressive all rounder.
The blended combination of whiskies from both of Nikka’s distilleries are married in serval types of casks, these include sherry butts, bourbon barrels and refill hogsheads – enabling stunning intensity and great depth.

In 1934 Masataka opened the Nikka Whisky Co distillery in the town of Yoichi. Later, his second distillery was located in foggy glen surrounded by mountains and at a junction of two clean rivers, by coincidence the name of the river was Nikkawa.
