in stock

Xeco Amontillado has a wonderfully nutty, aromatic character, and a glorious amber hue. We recommend always drinking it chilled or mixed up in a Manhattan (sub out the vermouth).

Rich and satisfying Amontillado sherry, packed with toasted walnuts and spice, with a curl of orange on the tongue. Ideal with Iberico ham, aged Manchego, sautéed mushrooms or braised rabbit.

About this product

Palomino grape produces a dry, neutral base wine. Once fortified to 15% abv the wine is aged in 500 litre American Oak barrels for three years with a layer of yeast 'flor' on the surface. After a second fortification it is then aged for 4 years.

Xeco is the brain-child of three 30-something 'fino fiends' and drink industry veterans - Beanie, Alexa and Polly. To create their vision, they teamed up with a magnificent Bodega that has been producing Sherry wines since 1876

The ‘Sherry Triangle’ was the first region in Spain to be awarded Denomination of Origin. The region’s soil and climate is famed for Sherry making and steeped in centuries of heritage. This history is now being reimagined for a new generation.
