Covert liqueur brings together the fragrant warmth and complexity of fig leaves, spring honey and Cognac together. Evocative, richly perfumed and incredibly moreish!
Covert has a deep musky aroma, balanced with the brightness of fruit. To taste it has notes of jammed figs, countered with dry tones of grilled almonds and rye. Honey lingers on the finish. Best served as a digestif – neat or on ice.
Audemus harvest fig leaves at their most aromatic point, air dry and lightly roast them before combining them with Cognac and honey. A small amount of cane sugar is also used to balance the sweetness.
Audemus was founded by Miko Abouaf in 2013, after several years working as a cognac distiller. For him, Audemus is the realisation of a lifelong love for creating spirits; and his passion is present in everything he produces.
Based in France's Aquitaine, the Audemus Distillery is a little atypical for the region, they operate a vacuum distillery out of the distiller’s (Miko’s) living room in the centre of Cognac. A tiny operation that creates huge flavours!
