Deanston 15 Year Old Tequila Cask Finish Whisky

Expect fruity, floral notes from the tequila casks to complement the versatile, waxy, citrus character typically found in Deanston malts. Fresh, fruity on the nose. Sweet, rich, and dry on the palate. Warming spice and caramelised agave to finish.

The tequila casks selected for the finish originally held 100% agave tequila. The casks held the same style of tequila for four to five fills, being disgorged both as Reposado (aged for just under one year) and Añejo (aged up to 3 years).

Following the cotton mill’s conversion to a distillery, the very first bottle of Deanston Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky was made in 1975. Today it is part of the Distell Group.

With a long history in the cotton trade and many of the buildings used by the distillery stemming from the formerly prosperous industry - Deanston Distillery its sits on the banks of the River Teith in the Scottish Highlands.
